Nice stuff. And, about this:
Quote: | The end of the issue sees Brubaker re-introduce yet another supporting character to the story. If memory serves, this character was last seen during Bendis' run |
Haven't read the issue yet, but my money is on the White Tiger being the returning character. |

I'm not allowed to give away spoilers, so I can't tell you whether you're right or not.
But it's an interesting development. |

So, is it safe to say that the Hand plan to resurrect her to use against DD? That should be interesting. |

I'm not sure what it means beyond her becoming "one of them." Either way, this issue was all kinds of awesome. While I'm very intrigued to see where all this is going, it really felt like I got my fix this months. Loads of action, loads of character work and nice intrigue.
PS. Is it possible to put a spoiler warning in the subject heading so we don't have to whisper in here. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Sorry, I should have thought of that when I started the thread. Maybe Kuljit can change it? |

I've added the *SPOILERS* to the original post...
But just in case, HERE THERE BE SPOILERS...
*
*
*
Some things I wanna comment on:
* Does anyone think The Hand posed as Milla's parents to get her out of there?
* I was thinking the same thing as Dave... they will resurrect Del Toro.
* Master Izo is hilarious.
* No Canadian price on the cover! _________________ Kuljit Mithra

Yep, I definitely think that the Hand took Milla out of the hospital.
And was anyone else reminded of Stick by Izo, or was it just me? |

About Milla's parents... I think it actually might have been her parents and the Hand are just trying to throw him a curve ball by making him paranoid and getting him out of town.
Of course, if the Hand have a caucasian couple in their sixties working for them (or a good disguise), getting her out of there is certainly something they could have done. This is probably more likely, I suppose.
One theory I had, since there is talk of making Matt an offer of some kind, would be that they offer to cure her (hey, they've got some serious voodoo) in exchange for getting Matt to join them or do something for them. The solicits for #115 talks about him having to make one of the most difficult decisions of his life. I sort of hope this isn't the case since it seems a little too contrived, but it's a possibility.
As for del Toro, I hope she wll survive this as a character. I mean, Echo got out of it okay, right? (Although, did she die in the Savage Land, or what?)
I agree that Master Izo is gold. I have to disagree with Dave in his review though, when it comes to whether he's similar to Stick. On the surface, I agree that he is. Blind ninja guy who likes to hit Matt over the head and all that. But I have to say that Master Izo seems like a much more likeable person. Stick always felt very strict to me and not nearly as laid-back as Master Izo. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

That's fair. Maybe he's Stick's more laid-back brother. |

Oh, I have a theory that Master Izo was Stick's sensei, and I'm pretty sure there's a stong connection between the two. I just don't think that they are very similar as characters. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Oh, yeah. I support your "theory" too :p.
By the way, Izo is really cool. A moment he's in Matt's kitchen searching for alcohol, the next he's hopping in a rooftop, cutting five hand ninjas in a blink.
Not too shabby for a 100+ years old guy.
Useless trivia: the weapon he uses (the one that looks so cool when you sheath it back) is called a shirasaya. |
