OK, I just re-read #117 and really enjoyed it.
And as I was reading it, I had a question pop up in my head.
Are Matt & Dakota still sleeping together, or was it a one-time thing?
What do you guys think?

I really think it was a one-time thing. The Matt I know would be too racked with guilt to allow himself to do it again. Which, I think, is really annoying to Dakota. |

Oh, I'm 100% sure there hasn't been any more sex or we would have known about it. Also, as Dimetre said, that would be very out of character for Matt.
I wonder what's going to happen with Dakota generally though. If Bru was staying on the book, I would have said for sure that we were going to be seeing much more of her, but with Diggle coming on, he might have indicated whether he intends to use her or not. She's too good a character to let go, but who knows what status quo-shifting upheavals might be waiting at the end of this arc. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Darn, I hope Diggle keeps Dakota!!
She's one cool character, and if Matt doesn't want further involvement with her, I bet Foggy would be awful glad to take her for dinner... After all, he's got already a story of consoling lovely red-heads from a Murdock heartbreak. _________________ Gloria

In my opinion, she's just a supporting character and not much else. She's just never really ingrained herself into the DD mythos. But oh well.
This isn't to say that I don't think she's a good character. Because she is. It's just I don't consider her that important to move the DD storyline any further. |

For me Ms North has been one of the most engaging female supporting characters for DD. I' ve always rooted for Elektra as being the best so far but I would be the first to admit Marvel writers have not really done the character justice after the F Miller era. Bendis rendition was the closest and maybe Bru so far;
But Dakota seems to me to be the perfect blend for the DD mythos not being super powered at all.
She could be marvel's female noir batman without the excess violence, gore and action. I would like see her to have a mini series and still stay in the DD world but sparingly not in every issue or arc.
The relation thing between Matt and Dakota could continue but outside the pages of the stories and only implied and not seen. Who knows this might just be the right relationship for Matt the one and true stability he needs like Mary Jane Watson to Peter Parker. I only request, if it does pan out Marvel shouldn't shove it in our faces every chance they get like they do with Wolverine who seems to be in every marvel comic cover( I am sick of seeing logan everywhere especially when he goes after Matt's exs and support characters he does that you know. hope he doesn't have a ...... envy thing with Matt) |

At first, I was surprised by her inclusion in Matt's world but since finding out, Dakota's character has grown on me. I too hope Diggle keeps her around.
Judging by their reactions and discussions, I think it's just been that one passionate night together. |

I believe it was something that just happened in the heat of the moment. But I believe they've both put it on pause to think about it. it was crazy that it happened though because matt is still married to milla right...? x.x.
I do hope that diggle keeps Dakota around, she seems like part of the team now since she does help with the cases. |
