I asked this on another site, but I never got any definitive answers, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out:
At the end of "The Murdock Papers" story arc, the Owl gives the FBI physical evidence showing that Fisk killed a man named Jonathan Roche. Was this ever shown in the comics? For the life of me, I couldn't remember this happening (or who Jonathan Roche was for that matter), and it's hard to believe Fisk would be so careless as to leave any evidence behind.
Any help? |

you know....i don't think it's shown (i've re-read Murdock papers every now and then) and to be honest it's not really the point. When Kingpin returns he was no longer a mastermind he just was a gang leader (all he really could afford after his wife left him with all his money stolen). He made conspiracies to commit murder on gang members all over the state of New York to the point it was leaving a sloppy paper trail. But yes poor writing mistake on Bendis's part because it was a surprise card Owl pulled from no where compared to the FBI who watched Fisk for over a year and had nothing on his case but circumstantial evidence. Maybe if it was the death of Silke or the Daily Globe owner or someone that the Wwl recorded their death but no it was just a last minute evidence as an excuse to make sure Bendis put Fisk in prison with Murdock for Brubakers plans. |

Ah, okay. I assumed it was something those lines, but the deus ex machina nature of it irks me.
Still, it's a small complaint in an overall stellar run.
Thanks for the reply. |
