Is it just me or has DD seemed to lose his powers? How often are they mentioned? Re-reading some old stuff recently and every page was filled with his views of the world around him, every scene showed off his ability to not be surprised and to 'see' things others could not. During Bendis's run he seems to become de-powered almost to the point of having none. Now he is constantly lied to, snuck up on and tricked.
Did he lose his powers as a result of M-day? Or is it just becoming too difficult to write a character with the most interesting and unique superpower (and one which brought more than a few of us to the title) imaginable?
Bring back Matt's superpowers! Am I the only one who feels this way? _________________ when walking just walk, when sitting just sit, above all don't wobble. |

yep, that's true! The point is that DD comics has become so "realistic" (compared with past times) that such supernatural thing that is DD radar sense, comes a bit out of place...
But what would be DD without his radar or his supersenses!? just another guy disguised kicking asses!
They should bring those radar images back I think (or just some references please!) |

Yeah thats it, he seems to no longer be a super hero, just a hero, although his awesome ninja skills will always put him a little apart from the man on the street.
I suppose you could argue that his powers are implied and he is using them but its not shown but I do miss the old descriptions of things from DD's viewpoint, they were one of the best things about this book. _________________ when walking just walk, when sitting just sit, above all don't wobble. |

He hasn't lost his powers. It just appears that there is some Hand Magic that makes people immune to his powers, and we've been stuck in this three issue arc forever so it seems longer.
And the fact that they are no longer showing him avoiding things that a normal blind man would run into just seems juvenile with the storytelling that they are using. And of course the freaking lack of internal monologue, or storytelling devices of any kind is hurting the descriptions of his fights. _________________ Random Insanity since.... Ummmmm... Tuesday? |
