With SHADOWLAND and all its tie-ins and some other TPB/HC's, this update for solicits took a long time!

So, aside from the SHADOWLAND stuff, there's the 2nd DD by Bendis/Maleev collection, and a premiere hardcover of the Vision Quest storyline, which has been long out of print in TPB form. _________________ Kuljit Mithra

Is anyone else not blown away by those DD and Shadowland covers? |

Excellent work indeed.
I'm unsure of how many of these one-shots and tie-in minis I'll be getting from Shadowland, but after reading the list given in #507's letter pages, the Spider-Man one-shot is on my list because Shang-Chi is in it! Yes! |

dang the devil's hand doesn't come out until august left hand path not in september that means it won't come out until after shadowland is finished.
Hate the TPB delay... it should be 1 month at most, it's not hard to do.

the elektra cover is good... but the DD covers and shadowland covers are kind of really not pleasing to look at. |

The cover images appear rushed and uninspired.
I had expectations when realizing John Cassidy is attached to do the covers for the Daredevil title. The work presented is disappointing, with maybe the exception of the upcoming DD# 508.
I'd say maybe half or so of the promotional images of this event appear at least deliberately considered and actually eclipses the sad work provided by one Mister Cassidy.
I haven't seen much of Billy Tan's work. The little I did see hasn't impressed me. However, his work on "Daredevil: The List" one-shot appeared to be his best work. I am hoping Tan's work on the pages picks up where he left off on that and doesn't follow the lead provided by the, frankly, lackluster covers.
Was the Shadowland concept, perhaps, sprung on the editorial staff and there was a scramble for artists' sketches?
Or does that sound too harsh? |
