i typically dislike colourful art in what for years was known as a dark book and i'm not big on comic artists in general but i gadda tell you this guys style was really growing on me. I'm actually sad to see him done with the book as he nailed the radar sense. Here's hoping the next artist can leave their own great mark. |

I know i'll be crucified for saying this but I wish it was Mark Waid leaving instead. |

for the direction of the character or for the writing? and no you're entitled to your opinnion i'd just like to know why because his take is fun and long over due. Eventually we'll get the gritty matt back but this is a nice change of pace. It won't feel the same without that award winning art however. |

Yeah,i'm already tired of his fun loving stories.I miss my bad boy gritty Daredevil.Don't get me wrong I do believe Matt needed a break from all the tragedies he's had over the last decade but the current stories are not really interesting to me.I feel like i'm reading 70's Daredevil all over again.I would like to see Greg Rucka or Rick Remender write him. |

I'm a little disappointed that Paolo is leaving but as long as they keep the quality up I'll be happy. Waid and Paolo did have a good chemistry and Paolo did nail the radar sense but I've got to respect Paolo's decisio to move on while he's at his hottest point.
Oh and the anti-Waid sentiment, I get that. When I saw the relaunch of DD, Punisher and Moon Knight I thought "wait, they get Bendis and Rucka and we get Waid, crap." I stuck with Waid's DD, it was a little different but always clever and every issue I would think "congratulations, Mr Waid, you've kept me around for another issue". Then DD fought the Mole Man. Once again another clever story but the ending was dark, grim and gritty. Waid won me over right there. For me Waid's DD is the guy who goes out and gets wasted every weekend, sure he's having fun but part of it is that he's also hating his life, he's just not showing it.
Can you really read the end of 10.1 and say DD's "fun"? |

Again,i'm not trying to be negative in anyway, all this is just my opinion. But I found the Mole-Man story extremely boring. The only story that i've actually enjoyed was the Black Cat story.I'm not trying to bash Mark Waid or anybody who likes him but i'm just not one of them most of his stories he's done I find kind of cheesey.Alot of things he does just annoys me like Matt wearing a sweater that says i'm not Daredevil. But you asked for my opinion and I gave it so hopefully no one takes it the wrong way |

Yeah, I'll miss Rivera. He was the best Daredevil artist in a long time, and I loved his depiction of the radar.
As for Waid, I'm really enjoying his run. There hasn't been an issue yet that I didn't think was at least good. |

I completely understand where you are coming from; I, on the other hand, really enjoy the book for the exact opposite reasons. I loved the sweater joke, I love the brightness for a change, I like the humor. Different strokes and all:) TBH, I am a huge Waid fan, so I was probably going to like this regardless. |

I am really sad about both artists leaving -- Martin and Rivera. They gave the book a really distinctive look, that will stand the test of time.
I like Samnee, and look forward to seeing him grow into the book over the next several months.

I feel the exact same way.
I do hope there is a proper oversized release for these first dozen or so issues. This art needs a better presentation that it rightfully deserves. _________________ Love is blindness, I don't want to see

It's sad to see Paolo leaving the book, as he brings back a fond memory of the art styles of both John Romita and Gene Colan, two of the greatest artists to ever work on Daredevil. At least I can marvel and enjoy looking at Paolo's original DD covers, which I have framed, and hanging in my home. |
