Buy the newer one.

I'm going to guess that it also contains the contents that are in the newer Born Again hardcover edition, namely issue #226 (an unofficial "prologue" to the story) and lots of sketches and scripts provided by Miller and Mazzucchelli. That hardcover also has 248 pages.

The older one just has issues #227-233 with minimal extras.

lol you're in the same kind of position as me. I only recently started to read the Volume 2 issues too. Really enjoyed Guardian Devil and Parts of a Hole. Personally, I'm a little disappointed with the Bendis/Maleev run, only because people have said its as good as Miller/Mazucchelli if not better. I myelf dont think it even comes close to either Born Again or Miller's work with Janson.

I will say the volume 2 of the ultimate collection is far better than one. At the moment, I've reached Vision Quest but im taking a break from DD to read some university books lol
