So it's been over a week since I read this issue, and I'm only now giving it a grade. I think it's very good.
I love it when Matt acts towards his noble intentions, and I think Chip Zdarsky has always written Matt very well that way. I enjoyed his crew's work in Charlotte. I just think editor Devin Lewis would have done well to add some labels on at least one member of his crew. There was a skinny guy with a mustache who kicked someone in the head, and I can't for the life of me figure out who that is.
I am very impressed with the dynamic between Bullet and Daredevil. It's tragic that Matt's noble experiment worked out so poorly for Bullet. Matt has to try to atone for that.
Stick and Elektra's scenes were less impactful, and I think that's by design. I can feel Matt pulling away from the two of them, because he never truly believed in this Fist business. Providing criminals with an alternative path is what's providing him with a new purpose and reason for being. Elektra and Matt are feeling like their veering off on separate paths.
The last three pages feel like nothing more than a preamble for the next big arc. Still, I think there was some great character work for Matt and for Bullet. I gave this issue a four. |

So Elektra actually killed the President of the United States? I thought I had missed something last issue. That really breaks the "world outside your window" thing and seems too big a decision to be in a Daredevil comic (no offense).
That being said, the Bullet moments were wonderful. Zdarsky clearly enjoys the character and has been on record about how much a fan he is of the Nocenti era. It really brought up the issue. Four Stars. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!
