Issue Summary

Summary/Review by Michael Deeley

The Gladiator has told the press that Foggy Nelson is Daredevil! The real Daredevil tells him to drop his charade before vengeful criminals come looking for him. They don't have much time. The Masked Marauder has assembled the most dangerous criminals in the country, and sends them to kill Nelson.

He's also freed the Gladiator from police custody. When the Gladiator challenges the Marauder's authority, he gets a shot of the Marauder's blinding opti-blast. After the Gladiator recovers, he shows himself to be the Marauder's physical superior.

Meanwhile, the underworld leaders have converged on Foggy's apartment. Daredevil arrive just in time to save Foggy's life and beat down most of the crooks. One gets away to tell the Marauder and Gladiator that Nelson isn't Daredevil. The two supervillains call a truce until they get their mutual revenge on Daredevil.

The next day, Foggy sheepishly confesses his lie to Karen. She also says she thinks Matt Murdock is the most wonderful man she's ever known. Matt overhears this outside the door, and couldn't be happier.
