Issue Summary

Summary/Review by Michael Deeley

Daredevil returns to his apartment and finds thugs looking for Matt Murdock. After a quick fight, and a change of clothes, he lets the crooks capture him as Murdock. He's taken to an island that serves as the new home of the Owl. The Owl is holding his own trial against the judge that sentenced him to prison. Murdock must defend the judge before a jury of other criminals convicted by the judge. Of course the trial is just a farce, meant to torment the judge bfore he's killed. Murdock buys himself some by calling a "witness". Once out of sight, Murdock switches to Daredevil and lets loose! He seems to be winning, until the Owl drops a cage on him. Our hero is trapped.

This is the first issue of 'Daredevil' penciled by Gene Colan. He'd remain on the title for the rest of the 60's, and become the artist most closely associated with Daredevil's Silver Age.
