I know there are some Scott McDaniel fans on this board. One of my favorite DC comics is Green Arrow and starting in early 2006 Scott Mcdaniel will be taking over the Art duties of the comic. To which I am very glad, they have had very bad artists on that title since Hester left. Eric _________________ "One must think like a hero to merely behave like a decent human being." |

Will Winick still be writing? I've only dropped a title once because an artist left and that was when Hestor left Green Arrow. (It helped that I was still getting my Winick fix from Batman. )
Then, one time I dropped a book because of the new artist that joined. That was when JR Jr. started on Wolverine with Mark Millar. ...my dislike for JR Jr. is another story... why does he have to be on the Sentry mini?! |

Winick will be writing!!!!
Winick is on of my favorite writers but man, after Hester left, GA was hard to read because the art was so poor. I can't remember who the artists were (I am trying to forget) but it looked like the artist for Mad magazine. Which is great for a comedic/parody story but it sure didn't work there. _________________ "One must think like a hero to merely behave like a decent human being." |

Well count me in. I'll be signing up for Green Arrow, again. |

I loved Scott McDaniel's work on Batman and the Nightwing "Year One" storyline,
but i'm not quite interested in Green Arrow,
so i'm passing on this one. _________________ -"What's cooking in Hell's Kitchen?"- |

This book has been bringing it!
McDaniel is about the only other Green Arrow artist who can compare to Hestor! Amazing artwork!
As always, Winick is giving us good old fashion comic goodness. Very solid book. _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

I'm also a big fan of McDaniel's work, especially on the Daredevil arcs of Fall From Grace and Tree of Knowledge. In my opinion, Scott's work has changed quite a bit since then, probably because his paymasters in DC may have asked him to tone down on his contrast work. Nonetheless, he's still one of the more innovative and original artists out there.
Anyone has jpegs of the Green Arrow series? I've not seen them yet, been away from the stores for a few months. _________________ "...that a man without hope... is a man without fear." |

Here's a couple covers:
The interior art has been fantastic! McDaniel carries a great amount of energy and style in his pencils. I highly recommend picking up the new Green Arrow (60-current), as Winick's writing has been top notch as well! _________________ "Flash is back. Worlds will die again!" |

WHOA! Thanks for the pics. They do look great, but again, not quite as dark as his work on DD. Must try to drop by the shop soon... _________________ "...that a man without hope... is a man without fear." |

McDaniel's work on Nightwing was so much better than his work on Daredevil. It seemed like he was trying to be something he wasn't...espically with Fall From Grace. I'd like to see him on DD again |
