Well, lookie lookie. In the comics section there's an identical topic and it says "moved" in the topic's title. Maybe the topic wasn't originally posted in the off topic section? Who knows? |
Since I generally look at the "new posts since you last logged on", this entire thread was in the off topic section when I first read it. Thus the comment.
And JC...maybe it would be fun if Nocenti did show up. _________________ Alice

People, is this really that big a deal that it needs a page of discussion? No.
I started the thread for one very specific reason. I'd just done a signing at one of the biggest retailers in the country, and I signed hundreds of DD issues that night, and almost none of those DD fans had even HEARD of Criminal. And almost every single one of them bought the issues the store had on hand because I pointed it out to them.
It's that simple. I'm just trying to get people who already read my stuff to know about Criminal. If you're not interested, just ignore it. I don't think going to the grassroots for support is tacky at all, and that's what comics message boards are - the place where you find people who actually give a damn about the medium. You should be honored I chose to push the book here. _________________ www.edbrubaker.com |

"Honored" that some insignificant comic scribe opted to tout one of his works on a message board that we frequent? Poppycock - ! Megalomania does not endear you to readers, Mr. Brubaker. Marvel's prospects for the future (in the aftermath of Civil War) are grim enough - don't exacerbate the situation. Just refrain from the meritricious self-promotion and stop posing in mirrors already. |

How dare he call you insignificant, Mr. Brubaker. Hell, he got out his well-thumbed thesaurus to hurl more things at you, but the only megalomaniac around here is that poster.
What a tool. Yes, a four letter word that says it all. _________________ Alice
