Rudolph Giuliani, I think.
Surely not Hillary Clinton. He would hate the idea of the USA been led for 22 years by people with the same two last names.

I'd say Dennis Kucinich because Matt knows that UFOs definitely exist.

Excuse my ignorance but who is Brian Moore?

Uhm, do we know he's an independent? Considering he was approached by people who wanted him to run for mayor as a Democrat... Oh, well. Before making a prediction, I'd like to know each candidate's stance on the SHRA and mutants and stuff. Or are we mixing realities here? Wink

Don't worry, Neilan, no one knows Brian Moore. He's the socialist candidate. I put him in their for kicks in case anyone thinks Matt's the bleedingest heart around. He makes sense, but he'll never get it in gear. This here's a 2-party shindig in USA.

I should have put Kucinich in there, as he's the least of many evils. And Matt would like his vibe.

I said Barack Obama because all you Americans should vote for Obama. In real life though I assume the next American election is going to be crazy. After Bush won the last election I pretty much resigned myself to the fact that US elections are pretty much the Oscars of the world political scene.

Plus, DD is clearly a democrat.

Matt would vote for Ron Paul, because that man loves freedom, why else would he do what he does?

Nah. And I wouldn't vote for Ron Paul for prez, either, because I cannot for the life of me think about a guy who used to be my gynecologist being president. *Shudder*

Bush is a stark supporter of gynos everywhere.

Now, if you want a president that understands women, you would not vote for Hilary; you would vote for Giuliani.

I voted for Fred Thompson, because I believe DD watches Law & Order.

Yes he does! (See the first page of the Murdock Piano Man? thread...). I wonder if Marvel got reimbursed by NBC for that reference.

I'm pretty sure he's a democrat though.

I’m sure Matt’s a Democrat, too (but having to register one’s affiliation is so ridiculous that I put the “independent” in there as a bit of what I think should be the case – the primary system [and, in fact, entire political farce] is pretty disheartening here).

I really envy some of you posters from other countries with long histories of political thought, dissent, and collective effort. The existence – and success – of other political parties should be a lesson to the US, but alas … no such luck. In all honesty, the Red and Blue candidates are so similar (they’re mostly rich or super-rich, they are largely career politicians, they all play the same despicable games, they all cry for relatively incremental change to a hopelessly flawed system that pushes the rest of the world around, on and on …) that it makes it tough to care. Come on European Union, come on South America!

For my money, Matt probably won’t even vote. He’ll be in prison or the clutches of some super-villain (maybe under the influence of Fear Gas? Oh, wait, we’re all under the influence of Fear Gas – it comes out of the TV when you tune it to Fox News. No, I mean it comes out of the TV when you turn it on AT ALL.) We’ll probably really need Matt’s vote, too – if recent history proves to repeat itself – as none of the candidates will distinguish him or herself and it will end with a ridiculous 50/50 or 49/51 kind of split and then the “Supreme Court” will just pick the President. They could have done that at the start and saved everybody billions of dollars, too.

I think I’ll write in MATT MURDOCK. But he’d go crazy in Washington, right? Imagine all those skipping heartbeats, all those lies!

P.S. Can we all move to Sweden, jumonji? I could use the health care and the high literacy rates. Not sure about the, uh, sunlight issues, though.

Matt would vote. There is no question in my mind he would. Just the speech he gave to the kid after he shot the Punisher during Miller's first run states that while he recognizes an institution is flawed he also recognizes that it's all they have and historically it has worked well for the most part. Matt would vote.

Having said that, don't blame the system's flaws for Bush's reelection in 2004. Everyone in America had all the vital bits of information in front of them. The electoral system gave them the opportunity to do the right thing and send Bush packing. Obviously more than half of the people in the red states saw differently. Given the major international upheaval Bush has caused before and after that election, I think a lot of people would now admit that choice in that election was the wrong one. Don't blame the system. Blame the choice.

I can't believe you guys have a major candidate who promotes his image by hanging around with Chuck Norris.

So you all think that a man that is a human lie detector could actually back any politician?
