Given the Board's general scepticism of Lady Bullseye following her mere announcement a couple of weeks ago, I'm surprised that no one has yet commented on the actual appearance of a Lady Daredevil in the latest issue of New Avengers. I only saw the cover - that person in the red DD suit was definately a chic!
Just a guess: Is she DD's former girl friend, the original Ronin?

Are you sure that's the latest cover?
The latest features Skrullified villains, the current features Skrullified heroes battling other heroes, and the one before a table of portraits of Skrullified heroes.
I'm hating these covers. |

And yet you know so much about them!
I think we saw the one with the female Daredevil on it quite a while back, so I'm also wondering if we're talking about the latest cover here. But with all the covers out there, I'd be the last person to know.
As for female Daredevils generally, I'm quite happy to stick with this board's very own Darediva instead and leave the rest in the deep recesses of writers' inebriated minds. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

There was such a cover some time ago, it was the one featuring a female DD with enormous mammary glands.
In that issue, Doctor Strange casts a spell to determine whether anyone of them is a Skrull. The spell projects visions of "how the various New Avengers imagine themselves". In particular, Echo imagined herself as a female DD because she idolized the example of Daredevil. |

Wow. Bendis really worked for that cover shot, huh? _________________ JC

Wow, I can only imagine what Sigmund Freud would have to say about all of this. But speaking of "mammary glands." am I the only one who has a problem with how Leinil Yu draws breasts? And I don't mean that coming from any kind of feminist perspective here (really), they just look so incredibly unattractive to me, like these separate jiggly lifeforms that have formed some kind of symbiotic relationship with their host. They are just always so disturbingly in your face and so oddly shaped that my brain doesn't even know what to do with them. They keep me up at night... *shudders* _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Yeah, it's really like one of those things where you start out with a vision of a great gender-bending cover and fall in love with the idea so much that you just have to come up with an appropriate story to make it happen. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers

I recall having even opened a topic about it in these boards, but I cannot find it.
Boobs drawn by Yu? Yeah. They're surreal. |

I think that's the cover I saw. Sorry...I didn't realize it came out some time ago. In the words of a character portrayed by the immortal Gilda Radner: "Never mind..."

But you guessed correctly, it was Echo.
How is the Skrull invasion going, btw? |

They let you go on vacation in the middle of an invasion? You guys are so screwed.
House of W sounds like a great idea, by the way. A little bit like a very bizarre cross between House of M and Y: The Last Man with all the men actually becoming women. Matilda Murdock has such a nice ring to it. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Of course we're screwed. Why else do you think we always lose to earthlings?

I like Madeline Murdock - or Maddy (with the built-in "DD" reference) for short.

I've always wondered, can a Skrull shapeshift into a Skrull of the opposite sex? |
