Hey I was wondering if anyone knows when the next Daredevil hardcover is going to drop. I've read the first 6 HC's and am hooked. I know a little bit about what's to come (Devil in Cell Block D), and it it sounds like an amazing arch, but I've been waiting on the HC and staying away from spoilers until it comes out.
Anyone have any info? |

As far as I know, there's no word at all on any hardcovers yet for Brubaker's run. I don't think there are any plans for them (yet), but Kuljit might know.
In the mean time, go read the TBPs at the library, otherwise you may have to wait for a very long time. And that would be very bad. _________________ The Other Murdock Papers |

Thanks for the reply.
Knowing that there are no plans for the hardcovers, I went ahead and ordered four trade paperbacks today (it came to like 38 dollars for both parts of "Devil inside and Out" and both parts of "Hell to Pay").
I'm excited to get back into it. I've been reading the "Essentials" but that old-school campy dialogue is killing me (I'm in the Mike Murdock era right now, lol). I need some of that Vol.2 dark noir DD that I love! |

Have fun with those trades. I liked all of those issues a lot, though many think Bru's run has been somewhat uneven after the first arc. Almost everyone seems to be thinking that the current one with Rucka is top-notch, however.

Yeah, isn't it great (in a really wacky and exasperating way)!? For me, early DD is solely for making fun of and in that category it does pretty well. There were a few posts on the Comic Treadmill from a few years ago where the Essentials issues were pretty much torn to threads. They are great fun to read. My favorite quote from one of the posts was "Who needs family when you have dysfunctional friendships?" I think that sums up most of that era pretty well. The links are below in case you or anyone else wants to take a look:
