My selection,
Sean Bean. Despite being about 2 inches shy of 6 foot, he has the chops for wearing the mask and the build for the outfit. Bean is also an excellent actor. This is the closest pic I could find of him resembling Matt Murdock.

Quote: | Acting style
Despite being professionally trained, Sean Bean adopts an instinctive style of acting.[27] He has said in interviews that understand the character.[28] After achieving this he cathe most difficult part is at the start of filming when trying to n snap in and out of character instantly. This ability to go from the quiet man on set to the warrior figure "amazed" Sean Astin during filming of The Fellowship of the Ring.[29] Other fans include the directors Mike Figgis (Stormy Monday) and Wolfgang Petersen (Troy) who described working with him as a "beautiful thing" |

Best I could come up with for King Pin, James J. Gandolfini. He's not a particularly massive man but he is still big and atleast 6 foot and already familiar with portraying a mobster. Perhaps he could do some lifting for the part but I don't see it as a grand leap of faith for him to play the part.

How about the actor who played a blind New York City police detective named Jim Dunbar, Ron Eldard? |

Eldard's a little too old, IMO. He's mid-40's and not that big a guy. He can do a mean NY accent, though. _________________ Alice

They ought to do a year one movie and have Matt in his Yellow costume first and then the Red one. And to play the young Matt Murdock? Young actor Matt Long...

Another Matt other than Matt Long to play Matt Murdock is...MATT BOMER.
Try to watch "White Collar" and you will see he invokes Matt Murdock aura especially when his personal Foggy, Willie Garson follows him around.

Can Sean Bean do an American accent? Again going with the brothers theme people set out earlier, I think the guy who plays his brother in lord of the rings would be good, can't remember his name right now but -
1- he is a bloody good actor,
2- he can do the 'world is against me' role,
3- he is a red head (which might be why he knows how to play the 'world is against me' part),
4- he can do action,
5- he is not too big, this makes casting the Kingpin easier, although I personally think they did a great job with that in the first movie.
The only better choice I have is Steve McQueen, he would have been perfect, brooding, charismatic, athletic, looks just like DD. Sadly he died a while back, but God I wish they had made a DD movie with him in it, it would have been awesome. _________________ when walking just walk, when sitting just sit, above all don't wobble. |

I cant believe (unless ive missed a post) that no one has sais Aaron Eckhart! The guy is a solid actor and actually looks like MM (hair and facial structure).
If you dont know who he is, he is the guy who played Harvey Dent/Two Face in The Dark Knight.
