Anyone else starting to wonder if we are just going to get story after story of DD getting captured and escaping? By my count this is the third time in Waids run that he has ended an issue captured by an enemy, starting to seem a bit repetitive.
Loving the run and the tone overall but just worried about how many amazing escapes we will be reading.. _________________ when walking just walk, when sitting just sit, above all don't wobble. |

Another reason why I hate Mark Waid's DD run. |

Yep, also he keeps getting strapped or confined within machineries.
He needs to get back to defeat villains by beating them up. |

the return to darkness has coincided with a descent into total absurdity. A villain who makes the hero look crazy by teleporting things around is the kind of stuff I used to read in old Superman stories. |

If it was regular street thugs, mob families or even ninjas capturing him this much, I'd start to worry.
But since the captures were done by different villains, who distorted Matt's senses in unusual ways thus making his capture easier, then I just view it as Waid coming up with new scenarios to challenge our esteemed hero with.
Plus, as long as he keeps escaping, it's all good. |
