Last year I went with some friends to Wondercon in Anaheim and had a blast. Mark Waid signed my Daredevil #1 issue, both with a sharpie and with a braille stamp. Very cool. While there, I stood in line for Waid's autograph with a young woman who had her letter actually published in the letter page in one of Waid's issues. Daredevil is a special character for her because she has a eye degenerative disease and can relate very well to sight issues. Anyway, it was a magical trip.
We are headed again this March to Wondercon. I noticed Ann Nocenti is going to be there to talk/sign autographs. I've read most of her Daredevil issues and have them but it has been a long time. Anyone want to recommend one or two "quinniessential" Ann Nocenti issues for me have her autograph?
If anyone happens to be going, I'll be wearing my "I'm Not Daredevil" shirt on Saturday!
Thanks,

If you have Daredevil #254, that's the first appearance of Typhoid Mary, the finest and most enduring villain Nocenti created. It's already a somewhat valuable comic, and if Nocenti signed it, it would be very cool. |

I always have to throw in #266 - A Beer with the Devil as a favourite. |

I would go with DD #236, her first issue she ever wrote for the title. Not only that but it has the 25th Anniversary Marvel cover to it too making it a doubly important one to get signed.
Issue #250 the first John Jomita JR issue would be a good one as well. |

Thanks to both of you for such great advice!
I just found a copy of the #254 on ebay that already has Al Williamson's autograph, so I'm going to have Ann Nocenti sign that one.
Thanks again!!! _________________ GrinchieDog |

Hi,
too late I know, but for reference I'd mention that 268 is the one I'd recommend. It's amazing writing and art even by the standards of Nocenti's DD and IIRC the lady herself picked it as her favourite ish in her interview on this site. _________________ Do you think your petty concerns matter to such as I? |
