The Variety review mentioned that Daredevil used torture to get the information he needs. This worries me a little. Other than using a water tower as a 'Chinese water torture' device, I can't say I remember DD using torture as a method to get info. Anyone else care to chime in on this? |

He did in Brubaker's run. Wasn't a huge fan of it. I think there are times Daredevil goes too far, but the best writers are careful to show that this isn't normal for him.
But if it fits the story, I'll wait until I see the story. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

he didn't really use torture in bru's run though. He let Ox believe he was torturing him. Which I didn't like that much anyway, but still isn't the same as torture.
I still can't wait for the show, I just hope it's not too violent for the sake of violence. |

Maybe he does it to begin with, before he's fully developed as a hero? I can't see Marvel turning him into the Punisher, despite the references Deknight made in the past. I trust they know what they're doing. |

I don't know if he has ever slowly, methodically tortured somebody, but breaking into Josie's bar and beating the crap out of people until somebody talks isn't exactly a miranda-rights interrogation. |

He deliberately inflicted substantial pain with the intention of coercing information. How is that anything other than torture? He gets points for not permanently disfiguring him through the use of a blow torch, but that doesn't completely absolve him. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

That's true. I'm just trying to rationalize, because I like Bru's run, and I really didn't like this scene. |

Well, the rationalization is he was trying to save his wife and under sever mental stress from the fear gas. In other contexts, he might not have done the same thing. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother
