Daredevil Message Board The Board Without Fear!

The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.

In the trailer, I was concerned about Foggy being a wet blanket. I have to say, in context, it's much better. He was relatively supportive last week. This week, he's concerned, but Matt got shot in the head. It's cool to see his senses gone. It's an often repeated trope in the comics and it's handled well here (towards the end when things fade again, it's really tense).
Speaking of context, in the trailer, I suspected the Karen conversation about Daredevil meant she knew Matt's secret. It's clear that's not the case (and her suspicions that he's an alcoholic are heartbreaking). On the one hand, you want him to tell her. On the other, I'm not sure he can. She's gone from supporting Daredevil to suspecting him of inspiring the Punisher. To her, he's not much better. It puts the whole thing on a tenuous position, so I can see him keeping his secret for a little while longer.
The Punisher continues to be very tense. My only concern is whether every episode is going to end the same with Daredevil missing at the hands of the Punisher.

Yeah, the cliffhanger was slightly repetitive, but other than that I thought this episode was great. The Punisher is lighting up the screen whenever he appears (again, his big scene at the end of the episode had a very Terminator vibe to it). Can't wait for more. |

I liked this more than the first episode. Foggy is great this season! I think Cox was particularly good this episode. At least he wasn't making eye contact with anyone, which I've caught him doing a few times in the past.
I like how they worked in aspects of Miller's Overkill story. That really raised the stakes.
If I had to nitpick, it would seem that Matt knew Grotto was being used as bait, because he was in on the police feed. If he had that information, he should have let Foggy or Karen know. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Matt didn't know, and just knew where the Punisher would be.
Anyway, I really liked this episode. |
