Wow.
I'd give it a zero if I could.
Terrible story. Terrible art. Idiotic characters. Ever since issue 20, this series has just been s*** thrown against the wall.
I'm fully expecting a dumpster fire out of Devil's Reign. A gorgeous dumpster fire thanks to Mr. Checchetto at least.
The one thing I will give Zdarsky is he has made me realize how harsh I was in years past to Mark Waid and Andy Diggle in my criticisms. Compared the the last year and half by Zdarsky, Shadowland was practically Born Again. |

I just don't dig the Kingpin/Mary relationship. It seems unnecessary and silly dating back to when Nocenti had her screwing with him.
If Elektra acting as Daredevil for a period is ultimately what provides her a functional relationship with Matt and a meaningful presence in the Daredevil universe then I'll swallow the horrible 21 and onward issues. Other than that glad to turn the page. I don't think Devil's Reign is anything but I guess we'll see.
Mike Murdock remains a travesty. Just plain buffoonery. It's not cute or clever. It's really dumb. Pl |

I enjoyed this issue. It's light on stories, but I thought the characters were compelling. The highlight for me was the meeting between Matt and Fisk. Will contentment separate Fisk from a criminal life?
I actually think Matt and Elektra now have a chance at happiness. I actually am willing to see where Fisk and Mary end up -- I'm putting money down on disaster.
I don't see how anyone inside the Marvel Universe can think that Daredevil believes he is above the law. He had so many chances to leave prison, and the only time he did was to stop Bullseye. Matt has proven himself as a responsible man.
I don't know why this has to be the last issue of this volume. The story isn't done. I'll stick around for Devil's Reign. I'm also somewhat stunned that the final issue of the volume was drawn by somebody other than Marco Checchetto, who was such a large part of this run's identity. Finishing up without him makes no sense. |

I enjoyed this story quite a bit. It felt like the end of a chapter and the start of something new. I'm behind the curve here, but looking forward to Devil's Reign. _________________ Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother

I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!
