Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have confirmed Thomas Hayden Church will be the villain in Spider-man 3. They're keeping it close to the vest who the villain is though.

what i'm thinking now is that'll be the Sandman.
whom i've never really liked...
but either way, if they wanted Venom, they already had a small cameo by Eddie Brock in one of the movies (i'm drawig a blank)
or they could build a Venom story around JJJ's son, who was already intro'd as an actor.
and wouldn't mind seeing Doc Connors/The Lizard, but they already got an actor for that.
and Ramey has an affection for early Spidey villians, i'd even rather see Craven over Sandman, but that's what it's looking like now, Sandman. Sad

I don't think a Spidey movie will ever (sadly) see Kraven. Compared to the CGI complexity of Green Goblin and Dr Ock, Kraven's too simple of a character (at least that's what the studio might think). It's just a guy without a shirt! I think the execs would think that this is more of a "Daredevil" villain (if they even remember DD).

Good call GOW. Church has that Sandman look. But, I think he's going to be Eddie Brock. And, thus Venom, one of the dumbest characters of all time.

What I'd like to see is Dylan Baker (the character actor and "Hey, it's that guy. He's good," who played Dr. Connor in S-M2) play an Oscar-worthy role between now and when S-M3 comes out. Then Avi and Laura Zinner will play up his role in S-M3 and let him run with it in S-M4.

I understand that might be a lot of contingencies.

The Message Board is currently in read-only mode, as the software is now out of date. Several features and pages have been removed. If/When I get time I intend to re-launch the board with updated software.
