Some updates to the Sales Data page this week, as all of the 2017 issues of DAREDEVIL so far have been added (issues #15-18), and all of the new "Running with the Devil" series (ELEKTRA, KINGPIN, and BULLSEYE).
There were some curious numbers for all, as there were several drops. First up, the spin-off series:
ELEKTRA #1 had the highest debut (and sold more than DAREDEVIL #17 in February) with 44.3K, but the second issue sold 19.7K, down almost 25K.
KINGPIN #1 debuted with a strong 36.1K and the second issue had a relatively low drop of 11K to 24.8K.
BULLSEYE #1 had 33.5K but #2 has slipped down to 16.9K. Some troubling drops for all.
DAREDEVIL had two issues in January, selling 36K and 33.2K respectively. By issue #18 in March, DAREDEVIL's sales are down to 28.1K.
So, is it just a case of lower sales across the board? Are people not buying monthly printed comics?
I asked the question of my Twitter followers (@manwithoutfear), just to get an idea of what's going on... please let me know when you get a chance.
If you still read DAREDEVIL, how do you normally purchase it?
