When the Marvel and Netflix deal was first announced, there was a plan to produce four 13-episode series for DAREDEVIL, JESSICA JONES, LUKE CAGE and IRON FIST, and another eight episodes for THE DEFENDERS.
With their success, second seasons have been produced or are on the way, and also a season of PUNISHER.
By the end of this year, 135 episodes will be produced by Netflix and Marvel.
In the link below, Deadline details all of this, but also a curious note that DAREDEVIL season 3 and IRON FIST season 2 will be (in total) 23 episodes. How will that get split?
With all this success, it's interesting to see that Netflix is almost $20 billion in debt by producing shows like DAREDEVIL!
