Issue Summary

Summary by Eric Shaw

It's December 31, 1974 and we're at La Guardia Airport as Daredevil and The Black Widow take down a group of eleven terrorists trying to hijack a plane. The duo take out ten leaving one for Ivan to leave sufficiently limp. He also gets to explain the scene to the cops as the DD and Natasha split.

They arrive at Matt's new brownstone and start a heart to heart about their relationship. The Widow is feeling less independent which is causing her to rethink their partnership and love. And DD all of a sudden needs some breathing room. So through an open window he goes and he starts getting ready for a New Year's Eve party. Quickly showing his chauvinist side while slapping the backside of Natasha, they both change and meet up with Ivan. The now trio gets to Deborah Harris's place and there Mr. D.A. Nelson plays barkeep and tries to make nice with Natasha. Nothin' doing! She tries to leave but Matt convinces her to at stick around even if she doesn't participate.

Unknown to them, the party is being watched by a member of Hydra! Just as Foggy is apologizing to Ms. Romanoff, the commando squad crashes in. Matt takes off to change leaving the mental giant minions to assume blind Murdock has fallen out a window. Natasha retrieves her Widow's Bite only to be floored by El Jaguar! Ai caremba!, but ol' Horn-Head to the rescue! Lights go out, flunkys get punked and DD vs. Jaguar ends in a tie as Nick Fury suddenly arrives with a flock of fly S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers. Nick then steals the show as he informs the party goers that he has come to invite Foggy to join S.H.I.E.L.D.!

Note: Let's Level With Daredevil contains the first installment of The Hydra File by Tony Isabella. A brief history of the origins of Hydra up to 1965.
