Issue Summary

Summary by Eric Shaw

Back in New York, New York DD stumbles onto an armored car robbery. Short work of the goons as usual and he's off. But not before he is filmed for the evening news and viewed by... The Ringmaster! His plans suddenly in jeopardy, he calls his lackeys together to make sure they understand that Daredevil should now die!

Meanwhile Saturday night must mean Matt will drop in at the office. And there's Foggy. As the two old friends go over the events of the past few months other eyes are watching. Having seen DD enter the same building as Nelson and Murdock, and since there is only one light on, the Circus of Crime goes into action. First the Great Gambonnos vault into the office windows and start searching for ol' Horn-Head not realizing he is standing right there. A quick change of costume by Matt and the Gambonnos have their target. Then Princess Python enters the fray. Daredevil is caught by her mighty snake but turns it back on the electro-prod used by Princess Python. After apparently losing their strongest member the trio quickly beats feet back to the circus. It turns out that even though fierce DA Foggy Nelson didn't see the assailants he has had his eye on the Circus of Crime members since their release from prison. Daredevil is soon in action!

At Shea Stadium in Queens the Circus is about to begin. The Gambonnos, Princess Python, the Cannonball and Blackwing entertain the masses. The circus is being televised and the plan involves hypnotising the city and using Blackwing's trained bats to bring home the loot. Daredevil shows just as the bats return home and makes quick work of everyone except Blackwing who has escaped. Our hero gets nothing out of the Ringmaster as to Blackwing's whereabouts. He turns the crimnals over the boys in blue and is on his way.

In this issue Marvel Value Stamp 28 series A featuring Hawkeye.
