Issue Summary

Victor "Kruel" Krueller attacks Ben Urich and his wife Doris. The attack makes them both remember a shared trauma. Years ago, Krueller was being chased by Wilson Fisk. He'd made the mistake of double-crossing the future Kingpin of Crime. The chase ended at a small diner where Ben was eating. Krueller has forgotten exactly who tried to kill him, but beating witnesses to that event help him remember.

Daredevil hears about Ben's attack and visits him at the hospital. He bluffs his way through Ben's questions to convince Ben he's not Matt Murdock. Meanwhile, Karen Page asks for Foggy's help in hiring a private investigator to find evidence of a child porn racket. Foggy's too busy with other work, including the tabloid TV news shows on WFET. Unknown to Foggy, he’s being followed by Krueller.

And Wilson Fisk decides to focus on controlling the city's vice at the ground level. Better to run things at the bottom then look down from the top.
