Daredevil #86

Our story opens with a viewing of the 11 o'clock news featuring Daredevil taking care of business in twenty four seconds. The next item is coverage of a party held by Raymond Carver where the newly engaged Matt Murdock and Karen Page are making the scene. Foggy is in the crowd too and the not to be outdone Black Widow with Ivan. Lots of questions for the celebrities but not a lot of answers for the interviewer. The last piece on the news concerns the release from prison of Doctor Karl Stragg because he has less a month to live due to an experimental test of pharmaceutical isotopes. Yes, the man whose body the Ox now inhabits is a free man. And it turns out he's the one watching the news. As the news concludes Doctor Stragg starts to convulse and the Ox persona starts to reshape the Doctors body into a new grey skinned Ox!

Meanwhile back at Mr. Carver's party Karen and Matt discuss their move to L.A. Suddenly a commotion disrupts the party and in barges the new Ox! He knocks out Foggy and Matt feels intense radiation emanating from the Ox. DD is quick to battle and gets rushed out a window by his foe. The battle in the street leaves DD senseless cradled in Karen's arms. Matt recovers by morning at home and as Karen leaves for a possible film role, ol' Horn Head takes to the swing line. He finds the Ox soon enough in a city Armory and moves in past the police. A great bust up occurs as the Ox keeps getting larger and stronger from the isotope. Finally Daredevil gets a hook to the solar plexus and the Ox is knocked back enough to begin transforming back to the Stragg body. He then blows up as his radioactive body becomes more unstable.
