A longtime member of the mob, Eric Slaughter employed a group of thugs, including Turk, for various criminal activities in New York City. At one time, Bullseye hired Slaughter to kill Daredevil, but the hero earned Slaughter's respect. In addition, Slaughter felt he could not trust a madman like Bullseye to meet his financial commitments. Later, a thief named Alarich Wallenquist hired Slaughter to protect him from Daredevil. Wallenquist had witnessed a murder for which another man was falsely charged, and Daredevil was after Wallenquist for information. Elektra and Daredevil teamed up to battle Slaughter's men and capture Wallenquist.
