Trained by the U.S. military, Shotgun was hired by Skip Ash to retrieve Number Nine, the genetically modified cheerleader who had escaped the Factory Farm. While fulfilling the deal with Ash, Shotgun confronted Daredevil and Ash.s daughter, Brandy. The battle ended when Shotgun attempted to ram his vehicle into Daredevil, but crashed into a tree instead. Shotgun attempted to kill Matt Murdock while trying to collect a bounty on the lawyer, but Daredevil stopped him.
